This was one of those days where I was guaranteed to get epic Woodard Bay Engagement Photos and here’s why: Sid (the groom) is my youngest brother and I literally changed his diapers when I was 10 years old. He means a lot to me and it was an honor to capture this special moment for him. Ali is the sweetest; us Becks are so happy to invite her into our family–it’s actually too easy.
I honestly was super stressed about capturing the right moment (surprise proposal vibes) because Sid kept pulling out notes, and wanting to pray and all these things that looked like proposing. When she finally laughed out loud (or was it gasped.. I knew I was actually taking photos of the moment.
Canoes, Puget Sound, sunshine–not much else would have made this day more perfect.. except for maybe my parents coming up from Santa Barbara to surprise Ali, which they did. First, I captured the moment successfully, then back to Ali’s house in Olympia to get ready for the next surprise. All this to say, it was an Epic afternoon captured flawlessly.. Scroll down, and enjoy!
We all waited for the truck to get back from the canoe ride.. Ali had NO IDEA all her family (she has 5 siblings) would be coming out for this celebration.. and ESPECIALLY no clue my parents would have been able to make it up from Santa Barbara. How did Ross, Sid and I all end up with hot blondes when our mom is brunette? We’ll never know….. Threw in a few quick engagement pics for good measure. I mean.. when in Olympia…
