I am super lucky I got to meet Kashia and Tyler and be their Seattle Engagement Photographer! I later shot their Big Island Destination Wedding right before the Coronavirus spread across the globe.
Tyler and Kashia came to me highly recommended from one of their co-workers who’s destination wedding I had captured in Jamaica just a couple years prior. Tyler said, “We were this close to signing a contract with another photographer, but then our friend said, “Don’t even think about it, you need to hire Char!” I feel honored when I get such high recommendations from past clients who value my “all-in” approach to weddings. I believe being a wedding photographer is 40% photography–the rest is relational, scheduling, experience, and the ability to help anyone feel comfortable in whatever high stress situation they might find themselves in. I love celebrating couples well and having the privilege to capture them on their wedding day is one of my greatest joys! 🙂
Like most couples, Kashia and Tyler told me they haven’t taken professional photos before so they were nervous to pose, to know how to smile at the camera, etc. Most people don’t know what to do with a camera in their face (including me)! As you’ll find scrolling below, I was able to help these two relax and enjoy the time being captured at Discovery Park in Magnolia. Occasionally I will show people how to pose and tell them what to do, but for the most part my sessions are simply walking around capturing natural moments unfolding between couples.
