Kashia & Tyler’s Honolua Inn Wedding Photos turned out better than any of us could have imagined. With 100% rain in the forecast, we were all amazed when the Hawaiian skies opened for some spectacular weather. Let me first talk about the timing of this wedding: it landed right before COVID spread around the US. It was such a stressful time leading up to wedding for these two since they were planning a Big Island destination wedding from their home-base in Seattle.
Leading up to the wedding I assured Kashia & Tyler that I would be there no matter what. I absolutely love showing up for wedding couples in a pinch. A few days before the wedding, a third of the guests decided to not make the trek out to Hawaii with the pending health risks; but the people who decided to stick out the uncertainty were rewarded with a delightful wedding weekend experience.
While forecasters pinned “100% chance of rain” for the day of the wedding, I was ready with back-up plans and places to take photos under cover. It rained in the morning, but to all our disbelief, the clouds quickly disappeared as you’ll see (scrolling below). Honolua Inn has a majestic view of the water and downtown Kailua-Kona. Everyone who attended the wedding was in awe of how gorgeous the views were up there. Kashia and Tyler set the tone for the wedding by being absolutely present and thoroughly enjoying every moment of their special weekend.
