These two had the genius idea of inviting me to Puerto Rico to capture their Hacienda Siesta Alegre Wedding Photos. Miguel + Ari met me through their family (Ari’s sister Whitney hired me to shoot their wedding). We had such a wonderful weekend in Puerto Rico from beach parties, family brunches, setting up the wedding, etc. Plus I got to stay at the Hacienda all weekend—waking up in the middle of the Puerto Rican jungle was incredibly refreshing.
Since becoming their “designated family photographer,” this particular weekend in Puerto Rico made me feel basically like one of the family members (not to mention Miguel is Puerto Rican so I was able to use my fluent Spanish as a way to get to know his friends/family).
The wedding day turned out better than any of us could have imagined. Ari’s younger sister Selina planned the wedding and then acted as one of the bridesmaids (quite the tall order). She handed off the reins to the awesome team at Bloom Events in Puerto Rico.
