Clackamas County Adventure Photography :: Oregon :: Portland Wedding Photos

Had a blast with my wife Julia checking out Clackamas County this February. What a gorgeous area! Naturally we didn’t want to drive from Seattle to Mt. Hood National Forest and back in one day, so we decided to drive down the night before, and camp out in the the TROUNTA (that’s the name of my 1990 Volvo 740 Wagon). Yes, it has 340,000 miles on it. Yes, it made it there and back no problem.. and yes, we may or may not have charged a road that was snowed in and had a giant blinking sign “Chains Required.” Let’s just say I was definitely nervous charging up a hill in that rear-wheeled drive beast. But we made it to Mt. Hood National Park, did the Salmon River Trail (GORGEOUS), checked out Timberline Lodge (Snow views), and then stopped at Jonsrud Viewpoint on our way back. That day was a long one; enjoying all those sights, then driving back up to Seattle, but it was definitely worth it!
