So I’ve got a lot of explaining to do on this blog post. My brother (DJ ROMO) and I got outfitted by our friends at Apolis Activism Clothing. We then decided to take a drive in our Dad’s 1974 VW Thing, and bring the 5d Mark II along. Why not? We had some fun, more explaining to come…
Yes, I’m a ham, and I am not much of a model, but Ross and I definitely are trying our hardest during this shoot.
We had to stop by Starbucks. Why not spread cheer to the folks working their tails off on Christmas?
Here’s where the modeling gets real fun…
All of the sudden, the Thing stopped running.
Not a fuel problem, not a spark plug problem..

We had to call Dad, he always knows what to do.
Dad’s not picking up.

Killing time with some artsy shots as we wait for Dad to show up…
Dad (fresh from a bike ride) appears with his Mercedes Sprinter. We then proceed to tow the Thing to see if we give it some serious momentum while popping the clutch in 2nd gear.
Remember, keep your eyes on the road Ross.
Untie that Thing! She started up!
Was so excited, I forgot I left the phone on the front of the car after we had gotten going to about 15MPH, “stop SLOWLY.”
2 hams safely arrived home after a successful Christmas Day photo shoot
Other brother (Sid Beck) grabs the 5d Mark II and snaps a few pics. Way to capture the ham Sido.
Thanks again to our homies at Apolis for #seriousswag #livingthedream #Christmasphotoshoot
Thanks to Dad Beck (SRC) for the VW Thing. Thanks to you for coming along for the journey.
