Laura and Dan found me on Google by searching “Seattle Wedding Photographer” and that doesn’t happen for me everyday since I don’t pay Google thousands of dollars to put me at the top of their SEO list. Something must have stood out about my Seattle Courthouse Wedding photos though and I am honored and happy to have anyone hear about me any possible way, because I absolutely love the chance to serve people well as a wedding photographer!
These two are from the UK, so at our first coffee meet-up at Storyville (in Pike Place), I let them hear my awesome British accent and they both cringed, “oh, that’s really bad Char. Like, really bad.” Secretly I think that’s why they hired me, because anytime I spoke in my (brilliant) British accent, they laughed, so it ended up making for some great photos! 🙂 Laura and Dan wanted to get as far from a traditional wedding as possible; a document signed, sealed, (Seattle Courthouse Wedding) and an afternoon/evening stroll through downtown Seattle to solidify what they had already committed to (they’ve been together for 10 years). Another side note, they told me they weren’t fond of getting their photo taken, and I assured them they would be fine. (I cannot tell you how many people tell me they are not photogenic and if you scroll below, you’ll find that’s absolutely not the case for these two).
What a blast! Laura specifically mentioned to me they wanted those in between moments captured, with the lines of people waiting to elope, the awkward moments in the waiting room, etc, so I snapped away (scroll down to see what I found). We also walked down to the Smith Tower and enjoyed a couple drinks at the top in the newly renovated Observation Deck (feels like a speak-easy!) I was honored to be a part of their special moment, and it felt pretty easy since Laura and Dan made me feel like a part of their extended British family (minus the accent). 😉
