What a roller coaster of a year that seemingly wouldn’t let Madison and Conor have their Church of St Patrick Tacoma Wedding in 2020. At first we had July planned for their wedding, then a member of the family contracted COVID and they had to push the whole thing back to September. This was such a difficult situation for the bride and groom, yet after changing their ceremony and reception venue a few different times, they were finally able to enjoy a more intimate celebration with their family and friends in Tacoma, WA.
Thanks to the incredible planning expertise of Shiloh with The Bubbly Soiree, Madison and Conor got married at the Church of St Patrick in Tacoma, and after jumping into a beautiful vintage Jaguar (the original car Madison’s parents escaped in at their wedding a few decades before), the shortlist of family and friends met them over at a delightful little restaurant called Le Sel Bistro in downtown Tacoma. Probably top 5 wedding meals I’ve ever had (and that says a lot since I’ve now been to over 250 weddings now!) 🙂 *Side Note, thanks tons to Karrie Michelle Floral Design, Maria @ Groove Cello, and the Corina Bakery for your help making this wedding a success!
After chatting with the bride and groom towards the end of the reception, I could tell they were completely elated to be actually getting hitched after so many unforeseen complications—in some ways, the smaller ceremony/reception could have been more of a blessing in disguise. I always tell people planning weddings, sometimes less can be more; you’re able to focus on being more present with the few people you share the day with, but to each their own! 🙂
