Alyssa, like most high school seniors, told me that she was shy in front of the camera (but she did so well taking her Anacortes Senior Photos!) Honestly, I get this “I’m not photogenic” comment a lot, and I think it’s completely normal, because unless you were groomed as a child-model and learned how to pose a million times before high school, you shouldn’t be used to getting professional photos taken. For a lot of people, their senior photo session tends to be the first chance they get to be captured by a professional photographer.
This is honestly why I love my job; it’s a challenge and a joy for me to help people become comfortable with something they are either nervous or scared about. I help people see how good they look. I love showing people the photos I just took of them and seeing their reaction, “oh wow, I actually look really good!” YES you do!
As you can see (by the Anacortes Senior Photos above), Alyssa had no problem once she started feeling confident and comfortable, we were able to get some amazing photos of her right around sunset at Cap Sante Park. We also took some photos earlier of her in downtown Anacortes, WA. So much fun Alyssa!
